    Currently, we are scheduling new parent orientations throughout the week:

    All orientations are being held either online via Zoom or in person (following social distancing and mask protocols.)

  • Who Should Schedule an Orientation?

    Parents who have received an email or phone call from Galapagos informing them that their scholar has been accepted must attend an orientation. 

    In order to attend an orientation, parents must:

    1. have already applied for a scholar spot for 2021-22. 
    2. received an acceptance letter from Galapagos. Applicants are selected on a first come first serve basis (as long as there is room available at the relevant grade level.)

    Galapagos Rockford Charter School believes that it is important that the parents of all new scholars attend a parent orientation.  This orientation allows time for Galapagos staff to describe the mission, programing and the expectations of Galapagos Rockford Charter School.  This orientation allows for parents of new scholars to learn about GRCS and ask questions so that they may make an informed decision as to whether GRCS is the correct fit for their child.  Orientations are required.  Children should not attend.

    In addition to providing us the information required above.   You will need to fill out the following forms.

    1. GRCS enrollment packet
    2. Home Language Survey
    3. Student Enrollment Form
    4. Verification of Acceptance

  • What if I have not heard back for GRCS yet?

    This means that you are probably still on the wait list.  But, don’t worry, we hope to accommodate as many scholars as possible.  If you are not sure of your waitlist position, please email our Scholar Recruitment and Alumni Affairs Manager, Erica Kenney at enrollment@galapagoscharter.org or call her at (815) 708-7946 ext. 406.
